EL PASO, Texas  — Socorro Independent School District (SISD) hosted the 30th annual Marchfest on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at its Student Activities Complex (SAC).  Twenty-seven high school marching bands competed from Alamogordo, Canutillo, Clint, El Paso, Midland, Socorro, Ysleta, and Fabens school districts.  The Wildcat marching band competed in Group C with eight other schools.

Fabens advanced to the finals portion of the competition, which kicked off at 5:45 p.m.  The band secured third place with their Queen-inspired show.
