Benefits of Breakfast in the Classroom
Studies show that good nutrition leads to improved classroom performance, higher test scores, and better behavior. It can be a challenge to get students to the cafeteria before school, by offering BIC, it has become a part of the school day, helping students begin their day nourished and ready to learn.
Menu & Logistics
Breakfast in the Classroom menus are simple and planned to reduce mess and waste. They include items that are hand-held and easily eaten by students. Food is delivered to classrooms daily via ice chests to maintain proper temperatures.
Meal Policy & Share Table
Students are required to take the breakfast meal in its entirety. Any unwanted items can be placed on a designated "share table", to provide an opportunity for other students to take additional items.
