District Improvement Team

Fabens ISD-Planning and Decision-Making Process

In compliance with Education Code 11.251, the District shall establish a District-level committee to advise the Board or its designee in establishing and reviewing the District Improvement plan, to include the District's educational goals, performance objectives, and major District-wide classroom instructional programs. 

The District Improvement Team (DIT) shall be composed of the following:

• Campus-Based Professional Staff
• Campus- Based Non-Professional Staff
• District Level Professional Staff
• Parents
• Business members

 

Meeting Dates and Times

August 24, 2026: TEA Accountability Ratings, Improvement Plan Introduction

November 16, 2026: 1st Formative Review, Drafting of Academic Calendar 27-28, Approval of Spring Professional Development

February 15, 2027:  Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR), 2nd Formative Review

May 10, 2027:  3rd Formative Review

June 14, 2027:  Summative of Improvement Plans

 

Meetings are from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. in the Fabens ISD Board Room
